Betty Guy is a 20th-21st century American artist, most notable for her work in watercolor landscapes.
==Biography==
Betty Guy was born in San Francisco, California in the 1920s. She is the daughter of Joseph and Fania Lipschitz and had three older brothers - Boris, George and Irving. Joseph and Fania Lipschitz emigrated from Vilna, Lithuania to the United States with the three older boys, Guy was born shortly after.
Guy graduated from Lowell High School. She earned a bachelor's degree at San Francisco State University in English literature and attended graduate courses at the University of California at Berkeley. She furthered her studies at the Art's Student League in New York, Alliance française and L'Ecole de Grande Chaumiere in Paris, France.
